Sebastian Speaks!

Hello everybody and Happy Holidays! I'm Sebastian, filling in for Savannah while she's off in Egypt searching for these three pieces of ancient sculpture -- relics they're called, I think.
I was reading her latest dispatch from Egypt. Gotta tell you -- my sister is badass. Really, she is.
You know what she's like? She's like, a comic book heroine, Wonder Woman or something, I dunno. Some kind of cartoon character. Not a real person.
But dang it, she's my sister, you know? My only full-blooded sister. I mean, I have half-siblings but she's the only full sibling I have. Same mother, same father. I mean, I live with her. We're under the same roof. I kinda secretly hope some of her genes would rub off on me but so far they haven't. I'm just a normal teenage boy -- no superpowers at all. I wonder if she's the last of some master-race of super-sims. She certainly isn't 'ordinary,' for sure.
I definitely think she's got some kind of superpowers. No way anyone survives that much electricity going thru their body. Maybe I've read too many comic books, I dunno. But there's something going on that she isn't telling me, and my mom has kept mum about her too.

I went studying at the library with Daisy and Neil. Neil is my nephew, though he's actually four simdays older than me. He'd asked for tutoring in Simlish, and then he started asking about "Aunt Savannah's latest exploits." Gotta admit, those tall tales she's writing about from Egypt about mummies (she started writing her novel before she left) surely have everybody curious.

Sebastian Becomes a Teen

Well, when we got back from France, guess what? Yet another birthday! The little tyke won't be so little anymore.

Mom threw him this ginormous birthday party at the house, pretty much inviting all of our inner circle, and they came, too. Even Billy and Nathaniel showed up. I sneaked an invite to his little galpal, Daisy Ramsey, who herself was already a teen.

Well, there he is. Isn't he a cutey?

And right on cue, he walks up to Daisy and asks her to dance.

I wasn't without a partner either, however unwilling I was. My dance partner was Mitchell Castillo, son of some old family friends. Apparently his mother's a member of the orchestra. We tried to make some small talk while we were dancing, but the fact of the matter is I'm just not that into him, you know what I mean? Some folks might accuse me of being 'picky,' but I just want to be with the right person. You understand, right? Right??

Sebastian's Birthday

Today was Sebastian's first birthday. Boy does time fly. I was curious to see whether he had mom's skintone or if he had dad's complexion like me. Mom (who still hasn't quite lost her pre-pregnancy weight) led him to his birthday cake.

There he is, just below mom's feet. He's gonna be a total heartbreaker, I see that already.
BTW I also think Aunt Margaret's on her last legs. I haven't quite mentioned it to dad but the specter (pardon my pun) of her death is looming. I also think she's older than she says. She says she's 95 days old but the combination of birth certificate from England and my dad's stories put her age at more like 105 days. As grandpa lived to 101 days, long life is in our genes I think. Dad says she's entitled to have that one tiny little fib. We don't know when the Reaper is coming but we know we'll be totally sad when he does.

After Sebastian blew out his cake, mom, dad, and I went into the dining room and we talked about quite a few things -- mom's elder birthday party (which she either wants to have here at the house or at the park), the guest list, the music, all of that. And then I finally said I wanted my own birthday party at the beach.
"What's the sense in having a beach party, Vanna?" mom asked. "They can't swim in the water yet."
"I still think a beach party would be fun. Could have music and dancing and even a fire..."
"C'mon, Shan," dad said, "let her have her beach party. Even though we can't swim in the ocean yet there could still be a great time."

Here's one last pic of Dad & Bastian.
