Love, Bassy #16

 Screenshot-1033

Hey sis,

My phone wakes me up at 7:30 in the morning.  It’s my agent.  She wants me to do a radio commercial over at the business building for Llama Musk perfume.  O-kay.

  Screenshot-1035Screenshot-1034

After showering and eating, I go over to the business building to shoot the commercial.

Screenshot-1037

Little do I know there is a crowd waiting for me.

 Screenshot-1038

“Sebastian!  Sebastian!  Over here!”  I smile and wave, but I’m late for work, lol.   So I had to spin into my clothes and split

Screenshot-1039

Here I am playing the Repo Man, lol.  And this is in a movie.  Oh well, in this business you take any role you can get.

Screenshot-1040

This is a view of the bridge in Bridgeport from my car.  Cool, huh?  I love driving across it, absolutely breathtaking scenes.

  Screenshot-1042

I took a last-minute glance of my lines in front of the theater, and next to another Sebastian, the Striker boy.  When I arrived here he was a toddler, now he’s a teenager.

Screenshot-1043
I was surprised to see my boss at the theater.  “Ready for this play?”

“I suppose so,” I said.

“Knock ‘em dead, kid.”  She raised her two thumbs up.

Here I go.

Love, Bassy #15 – Robbed! (and other things)

 Screenshot-987

Hey sis,

Still can’t believe there was a ghost hiding out in the museum.   And the nanny sounded pretty upset that you missed Sage’s first steps.

Anyway, I went out to the Grind after work and had a drink.  Forgot what it was … what I was paying attention to was Alexandria Mullen’s … outfit.

Screenshot-988

Meanwhile, while I’m out drinking, a robber decides to show up!    Good deal that I’d had a burglar alarm installed, so he didn’t get inside the house.

Screenshot-989 Screenshot-990

By the time the police showed up, the burglar was already long gone.  Times like these I wish you were here.

 Screenshot-991 Screenshot-992

And the repair people in Bridgeport are no good, either.  Thankfully mom taught us to be serviceable with a wrench and a hammer, so I, playing Mr. Fix-It, decided to try to repair my broken sink and tub myself.

 Screenshot-1029 Screenshot-1030

I hosted a get-together for a few friends the other night.  I had an itching to play guitar there – I couldn’t wait to show off the fact that I’d learned “Flamenco Fever.”

Screenshot-1032

I was a little freaked out by the fact that my maid, Greggory, was asking for my autograph.  Oh, want to know about this getup?  I’m stepping in for Reuben Littler and playing a repo guy, lol.  '

On my way to work.

Response #4

Hey little bro,

Wow on the award!  Really proud of you!

Sorry I haven’t responded before now, we’ve been busy moving.  Temporarily, that is.  We’re renting a house called The Willows.  It’s 6 bedrooms, but not enough bathrooms for our taste.

Screenshot-998

My newest ghost hunting gig took me, well, to the mansion.  Our mansion.

  Screenshot-999

Screenshot-1000

This audacious specter walked down MY staircase and decided to hide out in MY private museum.  Oh, you KNOW he had hell to pay.

 Screenshot-1001 Screenshot-1002

I took a gander at him.  Seriously, if he’s going to hide out in the museum, the least he could do was be in costume, pretend like he belongs there.  But nooooo.  “What are you doing here?” I asked him.  He couldn’t give me an answer.  But I had one for him, my nice Banshee Blaster.  No way was he going to take up residence in my relics.  The indignity!

Screenshot-1003

Oh and would you believe Sadie threw a dinner party?  I mean, really.  I popped my face there while I was on break, mostly due to curiosity.  Mom was there, along with Sadie’s friend Valerie Himes, and Neil and a few other people whose names I’ve already forgotten.  Neil already looked like he wanted to leave. I didn’t even see Dad or Noah there.

 Screenshot-1006 Screenshot-1007 Screenshot-1008

The next day I got up and I went to city hall to donate copies of my books for the local book drive, and then I had to go to the bookstore to sign copies of my books.

Speaking of books, I picked up a copy of that biography that was written about you.  I fully intend to read it at my leisure (since you won’t, lol) and I’ll let you know if you need to file a lawsuit.  Since it’s from the same lie-telling author, I believe you might.

 Screenshot-1013

I walked in to the house at one-thirty in the morning.

Screenshot-1014

Andy had fixed dinner and had the kids eating.  He was telling the kids that His Grimness had showed up at the stadium for one of the fans at their game.

 Screenshot-1015

After everyone else had left it was just me and Halima at the table.  She hadn’t said much since I hired her so hearing her talk now was a surprise.

“Sage-blossom learn to walk today,” she began in her lilting accent.

 Screenshot-1016

“She did?” I asked.

“Yes.  And you not there to see her first steps.”

“I was at work,” I said, “I got called back to the mansion because there was a ghost hiding in my private museum.”

“You never spend time with Sage-blossom or other children.  You always so busy.”

“What are you talking about?  Of course I spend time with my kids.”

“You not home when they come home.  You leave early in morning and come back early in morning.  They no see you.  They see Andrew but no see you.  They need you.  They need you to tuck in bed and kiss good night.  They need you tell them you love them.”

I tossed and turned in the bed and was unable to sleep.  I felt like she was accusing me of not loving my kids, which isn’t so.

Your boss sounds like someone I’d get along with.  Oops, there goes the phone.

Love you to bits.  Later, Savannah

Love, Bassy – Sims Choice Awards edition

Screenshot-967

Hey sis,

Consider me your exclusive backstage pass for the Sims Choice Awards.  I know, I know, I would have invited you to come down but I didn’t even know about these awards till the last minute and I know you would have had to pack up the kids and come down.  So, here I am, with the lowdown on what you’re NOT going to see on TV next week.  lol

Screenshot-968

The usual reporters camp outside the multiplex taking their notes and stargazing.  I’m not talking about with the telescope either.

Seriously, it’s not like the SCAs were must-see TV for us growing up, tho.  Neither one of us were big TV watchers.

Screenshot-985

Emmy Starr, a shoo-in for the Lead Actress category.  Elegant as usual.  Buuuut…. where’s her other half, Stanley?

Screenshot-971

Screenshot-972

My boss, Kris Verhoeven, likely Best Director.  I think she’s up for a writing award too.

Screenshot-973

Reuben Littler, who’s up for Best Supporting Actor.  His wife, Renee, is a big-time network journalist and he’s been in the shadows, so a win for him would be huge for his psyche, I think.

Screenshot-975

I ran into Kris after the ceremony (gosh, that ceremony was soooo long and soooo boring) and we were talking about a few things.

First of all, her full name is Kristin Amalie Verhoeven. Her mother was a German actress and her father was a Dutch movie director.   She’s from the Netherlands but spent her teenage years in Twinbrook.  I’m like you, Vanna, I can’t imagine spending any amount of time in Twinbrook.

My mother’s mother was German, also,” I said.

Really?”

She was from Bremen, I think. My sister would know more, she researched this stuff.”

I know you said you were from up the coast in Sunset Valley, what did your parents do?”

They were involved with the orchestra there,” I told her.  I didn’t tell her the extent of their involvement although I probably could have.

 Screenshot-977 Screenshot-978 Screenshot-979 Screenshot-980 Screenshot-981

After the SCAs, a bunch of us (me, Alexy Fresco, Karim Wilde, and Kris Verhoeven) went to the greasy spoon in town to grab a bite to eat.  We ran into Bianca and Violet Atkins and a couple of others.  Violet was playing her piano, too.  Who wanted to be around the stuffy studio types at their backstage parties?  We just skipped the whole scene and made one of our own.

 Screenshot-982

I didn’t get back home till daybreak, lol.  Good thing I don’t have to work today, maybe I could “try” to catch up on my Z’s.

Screenshot-983

And there is my prize.  Yep, I won the Sims Choice Award for best newcomer in film.  I decided to display it on my coffee table.

I’m wiped.  Need to catch up on my sleep.  Will talk more later.

Love, Bassy #14

Hey sis,

My agent called me to the bookstore on Saturday afternoon – my day off. Seems some writer took it upon herself to pen a book about me. On top of that, the author wanted me to appear and sign autographs.

father's son 2

I know there was a book about you that you stopped publication on because it said some things that weren’t true. Should I do that this time around?

I haven’t read this book, and to be honest I'm not sure if I want to, lol.  It feels pretty weird that there’s a book already.  I don’t feel like I’ve lived yet.

Screenshot-955 Screenshot-956 Screenshot-957

Meanwhile, I spent most of Friday researching a role at the criminal complex. Verhoeven had me trying out the part of a super-hero, but I had to break up an argument that was going on while I was there. Whew! Good thing I got out of there, my fighting skills aren’t up to snuff yet. Guess I’ll be using a stunt double for the fight scenes, lol.

Screenshot-958 Screenshot-959 Screenshot-964

After work I hit The Grind for some dancing and drinks. The place was especially jumpin’ tonight. My lord, could you please tell me what’s up with that chick’s outfit???

Screenshot-960Screenshot-961Screenshot-962Screenshot-963 Screenshot-965 Screenshot-966

My dance partner for the evening was Andrea Sachs. If the name sounds familiar, it should. She used to work for Miranda Priestley at Runway magazine. I’m not sure why Andrea was in her evening gown, but it wasn’t like I was properly dressed, I was still in my work costume and hadn’t had time to change. Andrea is a sweet girl and we’re friends, but I’m really not attracted to her in “that” way. She does seem to find me everywhere, though. lol

Tomorrow I’ll tell you about the Sims Choice Awards. They’ll be on TV next week.

I’m wiped. Later.
